When our friends at New England Distilling sent us rye whiskey barrels, it didn’t take us too long to figure out what to fill them with. We filled a couple of those barrels with our Tripel—a beer we’ve also been known to put into bourbon barrels. After about three months, the beer’s original notes of honey and passion fruit were transformed by the addition of flavors like caramel, toasted marshmallow, and oak. The beer’s name is a nod to our reaction after tasting; it’s how the Dutch say, "wow." 10.8 % ABV
