Composed of a malt bill featuring our two-row pale malt, Maris Otter, Amber 50, malted wheat and Midnight Wheat, Show Me Sour was acidified using a process known as brewhouse souring. Brewhouse souring allows us to have precise control over the level of acidity in the wort, resulting in a final beer that’s exactly as sour as intended. Following primary fermentation, Show Me Sour was transferred to second use whiskey barrels for a minimum of two months, enough time to extract char, vanilla and oak characteristics with just a touch of spirit character. After aging, Show Me Sour was pulled from the whiskey barrels and blended back with fresh beer to achieve balance in a unique offering that’s our play on a whiskey sour. 4.3% ABV.
