We were just as tired of that same old shandy as everyone else - so we made our own, combining two of our favorite things; 312 and Italian lemon ice. Expect a bright lemon flavor along with slight sweetness, balanced by a crisp lemon acidity. Easy drinking and session-able, 312 Lemonade Shandy is sure to hit the spot, no matter if the stand is open or not.
This release is dedicated to Jonny, a long time Goose Island employee. Jonny, and Brewer Quinn, came up with this recipe after Jonny’s recent victorious battle with cancer. Jonny lost the ability to taste many flavors, an unfortunate consequence of battling cancer. He almost completely lost is palate and mangos and cinnamon were two of the few things he was still able to taste.
We’re happy to say that Jonny is now a cancer survivor! This beer pays tribute to the flavors that were never lost.
A portion of proceeds from this beer will go to support the life changing research at the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center of Northwestern University, where Jonny was treated.
It’s 7%, but totally crushable — it’s not quite like any other IPA you’ve had. Big, bracing, piney hop flavors meet a tropical bouquet of Nugget, Citra, and Mosaic hops. There’s a balanced bitterness that blends seamlessly into the light to medium body.
Fermented with wild yeasts and aged in wine barrels with orange peel, Sofie is a tart, dry, sparkling ale. A subtle, spicy white pepper note, a hint of citrus from the orange peel and a creamy vanilla finish make Sofie an intriguing choice for Champagne drinkers and beer drinkers who are fond of Belgian Saisons. 6.5% ABV.
