Oak aged blended sour ale consisting of three beers. The first component was brewed with a base of pilsner and rye malt, and has been resting in a red wine oak barrel since February of 2016, pulled from our oldest barrel stock. The second component comprised of pilsner and wheat malts, and has been resting in a white wine oak barrel for just under a year, since the end of last September. The third and final component was racked into a bourbon barrel in February of this year and also comprised of a base of Pilsner and Rye malts. Incredibly complex yet drinkable, with notes of chardonnay, sandalwood, tart cherry, and cellar must. 5.5% ABV.
